The
Kelty Adventure is Kelty's top-of-the-line kid
carrier - their most advanced and fully-featured model.
The Adventure's premium suspension system is super
comfortable, with padding and adjustability in all the
necessary places. It's a top-end harness from a company
world-renowned for their quality hiking packs - so it's
no surprise that the waistbelt is well padded, the
shoulder straps are curved and molded for optimal fit,
and the sternum strap is height adjustable for optimal
fit. Load-lifter straps allow easy adjustment of weight
distribution, and it's simple to fit the harness to your
torso length with the simple adjustment slider - an
especially useful function for parents of different
heights.
The
Adventure comes with an abundance of features,
including a removable kid pack, sun and rain hood, and a
"child-view" mirror stored in the waistbelt - a
seemingly odd, but vital accessory for keeping an eye on
your baby when she's behind your head. The Adventure has
the most storage space of any Kelty child carrier, with
a small pocket for a cellphone or GPS unit, 2 waistbelt
pockets, and a spacious cargo bag beneath the child
cockpit. Oh, and I almost forgot to mention that the
child cockpit pad is removable and washable - a feature
you'll be grateful for when baby spits up on your walk.
What's
the difference between the Kelty Adventure and the
Kelty Pathfinder?
The Adventure has much more storage space - At
1,500 cubic inches, it can hold about 3 times the volume
of the Pathfinder. Adventure features not found with the
Pathfinder include:
- Cell phone
pocket
- Child-view mirror (stored in the waistbelt)
- Cargo bag beneath the child cockpit
